Heat Score is the narrative-level equivalent of Mood Score. It rolls up activity across all the assets tied to a given narrative — like AI, RWA, DePIN, or meme coins — into a single 0–100 number representing how alive the theme is right now.
What goes into it
- Aggregate social volume across constituent assets;
- Average engagement quality (likes, replies, reposts per post);
- Breadth of participation — how many of the narrative’s assets are themselves trending;
- Average sentiment of the conversation tied to the narrative.
How to read it
- 70+ — the narrative is the dominant story in the market. Most assets in it are seeing elevated activity.
- 50–70 — the narrative is healthy and tracked, but not dominant.
- 30–50 — the narrative has cooled. Earlier leaders may still be trading but the conversation has moved on.
- Below 30 — the narrative is dormant. Watch for unusual spikes here — sometimes precedes a regime change.
Common misreadings
Heat is a lagging confirmation, not a leading edge. By the time a narrative is at 80+, plenty of money is already in it. To find a narrative early, watch acceleration instead — it captures the rate of change of heat itself.
